Santa Tecla - Chalchuapa 122-79 Cojute - Aguila 63-71 Aguila fired past Cojute on the road to take 2-1 lead. Strangely Cojute outrebounded Aguila 61-43 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Aguila made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Cuban Oreste Torres (204-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. Lee Vasquez (177-91) helped adding 35 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was American swingman Andravious Smith (196-95, college: Tougaloo) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 25 rebounds and the other American import Shahmel Brackett (183-91, college: UNCP) scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Cojute players scored in double figures. Santa Ana dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Fantasmas' 42. Santa Ana forced 24 Fantasmas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Fantasmas' players. It was a great evening for American Eddie Ishman (196-86, college: Miles) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. His fellow American import center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) helped adding 16 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was point guard Francisco Mendoza (180-0) with 30 points and 7 rebounds and guard Carlos Hernandez (185-1) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists.
